Ladies and Gentlemen
I am greatly honored to be your host in Kraków during the 11th Symposium of the the International Society for the History of Radiology.
The 11th Symposium is held in a beatiful and renowned city which has witnessed so many events of mayor importance for Polish history, culture and sciences and which in the past was referred to as „Cracovia totius Poloniae urbs celeberrima”. Polish radiology was also born in Krakow at the Jagiellonian University (established in 1364) which is the pearl in the crown of our city.
Therefore, I am convicinced that Kraków, with its history, landmarks and the the traditions of Jagiellonian University will suport the schoolary atmosphere of our Symposium.
In the event of epidemic problems, we take into account the possibility of canceling our symposium in the form of an onsite. In this case, we will try to organize them online.
